Galaxy Note 9 will be the first smartphone to be supported by Bixby 2.0. This is the head of the mobile division of Samsung Electronics, Dong Jin Ko told reporters South Korean edition of Ryonghap. According to him, currently, the updated version of the voice assistant is in a beta testing stage, with more than 800 partners of the manufacturer participating in it.
“Given how fast the development of Bixby 2.0 is progressing, I can assume that the release of the final version will take place simultaneously with the Galaxy Note 9 later this year,” Co says. “Bixby 2.0 will give users more voice control capabilities.”
According to the top manager, the developers of the company pay special attention to the integration of the assistant into the corporate ecosystem of Samsung, taking into account the prospects for its further distribution. Perhaps, in this case, meant the early release of the “smart” column of Koreans, which, presumably, will compete with Apple’s HomePod.
“I believe that today innovation is not about the constant development of innovations, but the qualitative development of existing functions,” says Ko. “It is much more important, in my opinion, to give the consumer a product that will provide a sufficient level of comfort, and not add to it the difficulties.”
